Guitar Blues... 😎 Or Hunting Down... A Sexual Craving...ðŸĪ”

I met that famous 'Chicago blues' - singer and guitarist - Muddy Waters , once... (in a tiny bar), in 'old town' , Montreal. It was nineteen eighty two... on a really chilly, November night.

That bar, was a dark, grundgy... beaten down place. Thick, grey stone walls, supported wide, wooden beams, while a black painted ceiling - tried to hide the cracks. Smoke filled the room and lay thick, above our heads. It hovered, in billowing waves, through the white, spot lights. About fifty people, sat, around small, wobbly wooden tables and listened, to a guitarist and his three piece band - blow the blues ... right off, the planet.

I was surprised to find myself, sitting at a spot, right in front of the stage. I watched sweat, form beads, on the forehead of that guitarist, as he sang. I thought, he might have looked at me, a couple of times, and smiled. It was a sad smile... as he played, in front of, that half empty, room. None the less - it was an epic set! A bunch, of special minutes - etched forever, into my brain. I left, after that first set.

Many years later, I found out who he was. I realized, I'd missed out, on a world icon, of music. But, I was and ... and definitely, impatient. And... there were no women, in that club... where he played.

There were no women, anywhere I went... on that night. None I met, at least. Well... there was one ; but she was, waaay... outta my league! Yeah... I just bounced, from place, to place and club to club... aimlessly looking. When I think about it now... I know. I should have stayed, at that tiny grundgy bar, in 'Old Montreal' and enjoyed, that second set. McKinley Morganfield ( Muddy Waters), never played in this city, again. He died in April, nineteen eighty three.

Sometimes, ya gotta take what life gives you. more patient these days... You?

.........................................
Note : A F F is deleting words in the . Please be patient.

I'm more patient when it comes to taking advantage of where I am, as opposed to - always trying to find something better. A better seat or a quicker road? This place or that one?
Or is it that I'm better, at figuring out, when I should just sit... and chill? ðŸĪ”

It's like those times, you look for the quickest check out lane. The one you were in first - usually turns out to be the best choice. Mostly...
We're always trying to do better and sometimes... every once in a while... we succeed - by moving on. Sometimes... it's best - just to enjoy, whatcha got!ðŸĪ—

I'm still totally impatient... when it comes to traffic. I guess, I'll never learn. 😊

Too bad you didn't stick around, who knows what could of happened that night in that bluesy night club. It's a good thing you got to see and hear Muddy Water's play as he was one of the Blues Greats.

Thanks for sharing that balmy steamy night with us, and I hope you continue to enjoy this day..

Seduce the mind and see what a wonderful adventure the body will take you on..

Those nights when we don't expect anything special to happen are usually when great opportunities pass by, but yeah, we do need to keep our eyes open to watch them coming.

No doubt, that as a musician, you did appreciate what you were hearing at the time but were distracted by other desires. Later, as maturity, often colours our past perceptions. you thought of it differently and as a 'missed opportunity' . In general, I find I am less patient now, then when I was younger.

"If only" are some sad words.

I'm patient in most things.

Opportunity may knock only once, but temptation bangs on the door forever!

You're absolutely RIGHT about that. Totally!
I was in a club here, watching a band, playing covers of the Police and Sting... when STING, went up on stage with them and played a fucking set.
Talk about.. off the charts crazy!
But you know exactly what's what. You must have seen things as well.
Hey.. thanks for sharing. Pop in any time. 👍

Same experience with me, except with John Lee Hooker. Young and stupid, I was. Now when I pick up my guitar I remember to pay a little homage to people who played it before I was born. Check out the documentary called I Am The Blues. Amazing how so many of the people from another era are still playing amazing stuff now in their late 80s or 90s. As for the out of your league girl, that describes the entirety of the world's female population when I was young. Boom Boom Boom Boom, Gonna sit ya right down.
Wow. John Lee.. 😊
Yeah... that's a classic! Great story.
I watched Sting get up on stage with a band I was watching... and play a set of with the guys.
Funny how the smallest clubs, yielded the wildest results

Love that boom, boom reference.
Thanks for sharing. Drop in any time.
Now I'm watching John Lee vids on, you tube. Thanks for the reminder!
Ever see anyone else, up close? ðŸĪ”

You're less patient now? That's not good.
What are you less patient about? ðŸĪ”
How about kissing? Are you patient with a bad kisser?

Well... I DID hear that first set.
I'm kinda repeating myself... but..
I was dragged away by friends, who wanted to go elsewhere. I knew what THAT moment was about.
I couldn't convince them to stay. The place was a dive.
Ever have friends pull you away? ðŸĪ”

I’m not the same person as I was when I was young. The old me would tell the young me- don’t be stupid and be patient! I have it now but I am older and slower in life.

I am less patient about a lot of things...grocery store lineups, people who are indecisive, subway and bus platform lineups, others who cannot state their opinion clearly and concisely, bad kissers.

We saw Stevie Ray Vaughn at a rather small outdoor concert in the mid eighties, but we knew who he was and stayed for the entire show.

People who are indecisive and can't express an opinion? Hmmm...
But that bad kisser thingy... So you wouldn't take the time to teach or help them get better at kissing? ðŸĪ”
Isn't kissing about style?
What about bad spellers.....? ðŸ˜ķ

It was an epic night.
My friends were the ones who dragged me away that night ... I learned to trust myself, instead of being dragged around by buddies who had another agenda..
Ya know what I mean? ðŸĪ” lol... sheesh.. 😊
