The incessant buzz , of an air conditioner and the uninterrupted rattle , of the Coke machine - had numbed my brain. A beep warned me, my phone, was slowly dying. I closed it. The charger, was in the trunk of my car. My car, was in the repair shop. The repair shop waiting room, was where I sat. I sat there ... alone .   She was attractive... and smiled brightly at me. I smiled back and welcomed her, with an original question ;"Fixing your car?" "Beklager. Jeg snakker ikke engelsk. Jeg er fra Norge," she replied while raising her hands and furrowing her eyebrows. She didn't speak English. I don't speak, Norwegian. I sat there, almost alone... and waited. I counted... the fucking grimy, greasy, faded yellow... floor tiles. Well.... if my cell phone doesn't die, then I can wait in that garage, just fine. Worst? I'd say traffic, when you're in a rush. Then I'd say the doctor's or dentist's office. The constant phone ringing... the sanguine replies of those secretary types. And everyone is so sick? And no-one looks happy. When I think about it... I don't really like waiting anywhere? ðĪ Does anybody? But thank goodness for my cell phone.... I'm much better now. I bet you were relieved until you realized she didn't speak your language or you hers.. I hope all is well with your car, and thanks for sharing this part of your day with us. I hate sitting around waiting for car repairs, and oil changes seem to take even longer these days.. I hope the rest of your day is an enjoyable one.. Seduce the mind and see what a wonderful adventure the body will take you on..

Hospital ðĨ emergency rooms. While the constant ebb and flow of people can be somewhat entertaining, usually are stuck sitting amongst the most ill and injured people.

Waiting anywhere is hell when I have to pee! Otherwise, I have no problems. I always bring a book along to places that make me wait. Opportunity may knock only once, but temptation bangs on the door forever!

Hmmm waiting at the gyno office or the dentist.... they are pretty closely tied.

I usually bring a book along to anyplace I have to wait so it is not a lot different than reading at home. Waiting for Dr Appt or in Urgent care may be worst especially if you are the sick one. If you see me in the real world, come say "Hi Justskin." I always behave. Preferably not well.

Hey Paul, ..........I once waited in the Hospital over night for the surgeons to Reattach my left thumb,.........The point being I waited in a hospital room, but My Thumb they kept somewhere else!.........To this day I donât know where they kept it, the Doctorâs Lounge refrigerator I imagine,.........We were United again in the morning,..........But That, That is a much Stranger tale for another day My Friend,........... Sinfully Yours, backpocket13
