How women put women down! Part 3 Ok just keep in mind and this may be boring to some but its not in any way my opinion as to any of the content being my story , just taken from a 1972 Chatelaine magazine article..remember as well there were different times and different outlooks as to womans role in society and how she was taught to see other women. So you walk into a hospital in 1972 and ask to see a Doctor...presumably you are led to an examining room by a white coated<b> nurse ...</font></b>told to slip into a hospital gown and she tells you that someone will be with you shortly..A woman comes in and asks you what your problem is..she looks like a nurse, has the attire of a<b> nurse </font></b>, but she has the name tag of a Doctor? Whaaa? Shockingly as a woman you are led to believe that all Doctors are males and not females ....What do you do? ..Ask for a male doctor..simple right? Presume a woman behind a desk is a secretary,a woman in a hospital coat is a nurse, and presume that the voice of that woman behind the phone could never be anyone in charge It cultural conditioning, aka " the girl can't help it type of thing"..so again blame it on the put down, after all women are not ladder climbers , they could never earn enough in menial jobs to go to college or university to study to become a doctor or a lawyer, thats absurd! Assume for a minute that the stewardess passes by a woman seated in an airplane couldnt possibly want a newspaper because its something she would never understand, and the women who invite a female speaker to a club and expect that she will speak for free offer the same advantage to a male speaker and him to do so...the same women who gasps astonishingly at any woman who achieves a high honor in any role she plays in business, society, acting etc..do we blame cultural conditioning ? Do we blame society in general? Women comment on another single womans state as to a spreading waistline or advanced age as an insult ....Dress deliberately to show up another woman after she asks what that woman will be wearing ..Its all a matter of , the " catch " she is a good catch because she knows it will define her as a more proficient partner ...All of these little digs are whats known as subtle put downs. ***Now my opinion isnt as subtle as these gals who were culturally conditioned.I didnt fit that mould because i didnt see women as weak and incompetent ..My Mother was the most competent woman i ever knew..She had the strength of a fighter and stamina of a bull, never once did i ever hear her put down anyone not women or men..I heard her swearlike a sailor and of course get fustrated around the house its normal, but was every inch a lady out in public...she didnt tolerate us ever saying bad things about people but always see the good and potential in all. |

greed jeleousy envy are what puts everyone down. someone is never happy about something or someone. we condition ourselves based on beliefs . Society is equally overated, Just do you and be merry. the rest is just lifes bump which we all have shockabsorbers for
