On losing that stubborn weight..A tip!

OK so most everyday i am having my morning tea and usually on here and reading the stories on google..Its amazing how many companies or individuals are on there raving about what is the best diet ..I do laugh at most of them because they are mostly misleading people who are seriously trying to lose weight and falling for the crazy bunk of what is supposed to be healthy living and eating the right foods , dont eat this , dont eat that... but hey if you eat this and that you will lose a crap load of weight...lol, most of it is bs...
I was in to see my doctor about 3 weeks ago and we always talk about diet , where i am in a wheel chair its always first on my mind not getting enough exercise and eating proper foods so i dont gain alot of weight...again he says to me " if you follow these set of guidelines i assure you the weight will come off." Like alot of people there are times when we abuse our bodies and eat what junk we can get our hands on , I dont eat fast foods from the many that is around. Its tempting yes but i can resist..I most generally eat at home or if i am out go to a nice restaurant and spend money on wholesome foods..
Those guidelines are ...Beef, fish , poultry, eggs and lots of vegetables...Doctor says these are natural foods man hasnt screwed up...avoid all the man made products and i assure you weight will come off...tea is supposed to be black but i cant seem to get that down..lol anyway i lost 5 pounds on a strict diet of beef, fish, poultry , eggs and vegs....thats 5 pounds in three weeks..no shit! now as anyone knows thats not stuffing yourself but eating in moderation.
I bought 165 pounds of prime beef from a good clean supplier , fish is easy to get around here as most of the area is fishing communities, poultry is easy to get as well , eggs we know isnt hard to obtain..and well vegs are in abundance here as well..i have a beef roast once a week, i have steak and eggs for breakfast and chicken three times a week load up on fish i love all the different kinds of fish.. and there are so many ways to prepare fish...i do use panko crumbs they are tasteless but spices added can make it a tasty meal..and vegs are endless kinds as well and so many ways of preparing them...real unsalted butter as opposed to marjarine is used to fry foods ...such as eggs and the steak.......so this easily has worked for me ...i dont spend alot of money on groceries except a few things i dont need but crave....I eat lots of raw sauerkraut as well as blueberries ..so why does this work so well? Man cant fuck up those things ...they are natural products ...i rarely eat breads ...its only me so if i want that i buy it .so rave about the diet fads i know what works .

Yes carbs are killing people , it doesnt hurt to help yourself to an occasional bagel or helping of pasta ...but loading up every day on bread products and carb laden products will give you a crap load of aliments and health issues..good stuff

I hear you. Stay away from processed foods and stay fresh as much as possible. The concept is so simple and it works. I have to admit I am a stress eater and I occasionally catch myself eating a handful of chips or something I know I shouldn't and then it's like, "What the heck are you doing, you know better!" I've pretty much ridded my home of those things but at work there is always something sitting around tempting me. Old habits are hard to break. I have to engage mind over matter. It's a daily struggle for me but I'm starting to win!

It is simple and the most natural way of eating to lose weight and stay slimmer..alot of people are so hooked on the diet fads that surround us all the time that they dont know how to get back to the basics..The food wheel when i was growing up has changed so much that its hard to rely on any more..The way things are mass produced today with the concept of faster is better , we lose perspective about simple and natural foods and their worth..temptation is around every corner and very few have the will power to resist..

Hey Kitty... I eat a lot of venison... fill my freezer up every winter....
you live up in the great north, which is beautiful country IMVHO...
perhaps you can find yourself a source of this very healthy red meat for your diet... for me at least, after a long time of primarily eating venison as my red meat, I find that digesting steak is a chore... LOL ... who knew!

Good luck with the roo!! LOL

When I lived in Cambridge, MA there was a small grocery store where Julia Child used to shop. They had a meat section called "the Jungle" All sorts of strange things used to show up there. Once I bought my dad a hippo loin steak for his birthday.... With no internet to teach me how to prepare the darn thing, I failed miserably! I am sure he was happier with the sirloins anyway!!! LOL

I used to hunt when i was a young girl growing up..my two brothers were lazy and dint have a knack for shooting..my dad and i went on numerous hunting trips for bear moose and elk..I have had most of the wild meats that were available then when my dad got sick with a bad heart i still hunted rabbits and deer ..we did a last moose hunt before he got sick but moose were scarce then...it was fun and i miss my Dad for that
