New regulations for all drone pilots now in effect in Canada!

Story by Jason Gaidole for CTV Winnipeg
Finally there are set regulations for all drone pilots in effect as of June 1st 2019.
Transport Canada says new rules for recreational drone operators with certain models are in effect..Flyers must register their aircraft weighing between 250 grams and 25 kilograms and pass an online test .
Operators must be at least years old to obtain a certificate and users looking for advanced operations flight certificate must be yrs or older.Other rules include keeping drones away from traffic and not flying over 2 meters in the air.Transport Canada has put in a set of rules and anyone who brakes those rules are subject to some hefty fines. These pilots may face a 00.00 fine for flying without a certificate and corporations could face up to 5000.00 for the same Multiple rules broken will face multiple fines..and even jail time.
Alot of veteran flyers are glad there are finally some good changes to the act because it helps the new flyers learn what isnt cool or what isnt tolerated ..veteran fllyers also help school newly licensed flyers learn about safety.. It cost 5.00 to license a drone..which can be done easily online. These newer regulations also help to deter people from unlawfuliy sending their drone around airports and making safety hazards for the planes...Some airports have enlisted trained hawks to take a drone from the sky once it enters air port space...Privacy issues was becoming a real issue with members of the public now can rest a bit more easily with the new rules in place ..

my neighbor is still pissed at me for shooting down his drone- that's what he got when he was hovering in my back yard- lots of desert for him to fly in-
