The Guy Double Standard

As always, if you fit what I'm looking for in profile, contact tooltom y h00, as I rarely have enough points even use IM here. Now, the blog post...

95% of life, I look, act and seem like the regular masculine straight guy I am 95% of the time. I've played team sports, done the guy weekends and bachelor party weekends in Vegas, hung sports bars with buddies drinking beer, rooting for our teams talking about the hot women there, etc. A regular guy by any .

many of those situations (especially the bar), without fail, one of guy friends will say something one of the hot women. I'm not talking about the harassing or overt comments will cause tell any guy be more respectful. I'm just talking about the "hey, gorgeous," "you're pretty," etc. comments are very common.

I also VERY regularly hear other guys saying MUCH more aggressive things women, often followed by calling her a "bitch" or worse when she does not respond, or responds negatively. If a friend of mine ever said I'd tell him shut up and be more respectful. Every man should do . Just think about how you would like it if someone were saying your mom, , , wife, etc.

Interestingly, this site is a very open and egalitarian space - everyone has equal access everyone. It is a very rare "bar" is straight, bi and gay. means a gay or bi guy will sometimes respectfully comment on the attractiveness of a pic a straight guy posts of himself - again, I'm not talking about the aggressive comments, just something like "sexy pic!" or "hot chest" or "nice cock."

Sometimes, the reactions from the straight guys are JUST EXACTLY LIKE THE REACTIONS OF THE WOMEN THEY SAY THE SAME THINGS BARS ALL THE TIME. other words, straight guys, usually a more powerful position M/F situations, can dish it , but a surprising of them can't take it.

I have read studies show a lot of homophobia by straight men is driven by this deep uncomfortableness with the idea gay or bi men will treat them like they often treat women, and the power equation is not their favor. other words, most straight men don't do well when they have deal with the sort of behavior they make women deal with regularly.

This fantastic, fascinating community at Senior Sizzle really shows . Hopefully, it helps everyone open their minds a bit, expands understanding, and makes everyone act more respectfully everyone else. Here and the rest of the world, like bars, etc.
