20-20 Vision Afterthoughts

First thanks Bull,

Now, not really sure how I got there I was surely looking up something else. But I came across snipits of the Dean Martin Roasts. I few things triggered rewatching a few moments, all giving me better focus.

First both of my<b> parents </font></b>were transported New Yorkers so they came from the mix of Manhattan and the surrounding areas. So use of words/names came pretty easily off dad's lips for sure. But to be honest it was when a simular insult (for a lack of a better word) wasn't returned it was only then things seemed ockward.

So watching the roast, whites, blacks, Brown's, Jews, Christains, non believers all poking fun at one another. The result was laughter not hate. You could even include drunks and sexists to the mix. not saying that or they were right but it makes me scratch my head how we went from there to here. Actually back then people lived in groups, you'd think that would of fueled fear but now where there is no Italian area, though most large cities still have a China town which is usually inhabited by more from Japan then anywhere else. Infact I think it's more racist to group them together all as one then the use of a politically incorrect word here and there.

Furthermore I have to laugh as those on the roast, actors, polititions and TV personalities. Those exact guys now are the ones who take the most offence at such things. Maybe that's why comedians suck nowadays. guys and jokes I still laugh my considerable ass off watching them over some politically correct hour on HBO. Sex, color, wife and were all game and laughing at them I think made it far easier to laugh at myself and my sex, color, wife and . It's a simple fact that all you need to be funny is to be different then those around you. I imagine the group of people in Africa who put rings in their mouth to enlarge their lower lips. They look at me with earrings pointing and laughing. "That's one crazy bitch"
