Tips, Top Fan Bids, & Points systems - different but related:

TIPS:
Three ways, that I know of thus far, to send TIPS

1. Click the person's profile
-Right of the page Tip, Choose amount to tip

2. Click My Stuff at the top of the site's drop down option
-Click My Hotlist, find member, Click Tip, Choose amount to tip

3. Cam broadcasts
-While viewing a cam broadcast, use the Tips icon, Choose amount to tip

 I've got a butt load of points (I guess from commenting, since surely no one would be tipping me, even if I DID ever cam!).

My issue is the opposite - spending them. Other than "tell me when message is read" (generally only way I'd know given the general lack of responses here! - haaa) I see next to no real value in points.

CleavageFan4U - If you are a cam viewer or you want to make sure that you're able to keep in touch with someone is non Gold status, then you can bid your points to be a Top Fan and you'll be able continue your email exchanges regardless of status.
If people have no points and aren't Gold, then set up a blog and create a private mailbox with your settings "Approva all comments before they appear," which one would approve in order to remain private. You two can continue to comment on the initial private message for continuity but not required.

 The TIP feature is everywhere that you can someones profile.

You can give someone points via roses but the site will take 50%.
Virtual gifts gives someone points but the receiver only gets 10% of the virtual gift cost.

In the Top Fan game BIDDING and TIPPING do the same thing.

The difference is that TIPPING gives the receiver 80 to 90% of the TIP.
BIDDING give the receiver 10% of the BID and the site takes 90%.

Of course they won't tell you that difference for obvious reasons.
