things that could possibly threaten your relations ship
The only thing that could possibly threaten your relations ship is:
Your different interests leading you down two different paths.
Another guy or girl trying to steal one of you away.
Some horrible "Day After Tomorrow" type of disaster.

 different interests lead to less communication.. less communication leads to less trust and trust issues lead to breakups.

 I'd go with trust issues. Once it's lost, it usually can't be found again.
