St Patricks Day Guide for a good time

It is almost time for the Celebration that is St Patricks Day. The day that everybody becomes Irish, I am writing this as a guide to having a great day on St Patricks Day. This guide will help you prepare, keep you safe, and maybe even score you some free drinks.

First things first...be prepared. Before you venture out on the day do some recon. Try to find a true Irish Pub, and or bar. A good sign of a Irish Pub, or bar is that they have Guinness on tap. Second make sure they have plenty of Ishka baha (the water of life) aka Irish Whiskey. Jamesons or Bushmills are your two top choices here. I personally like Bushmills. Third look to see if are going to offer a live band playing good ole Irish drinking songs, and if they do learn these songs.

Irish Drinking Songs
1.Beer Beer Beer
2.Finnegan's Wake
3.Wild Rover
4.Moonshiner
5.Whiskey in the Jar

Fourth wear something green. I opt for a green t-shirt, and my green afro. Sure I might look like a clown, but I have never had so many women approach me offering to buy me drinks as I have when I rock the green fro. Finally bring gifts. Green beads are an excellent choice here, and if you want to jazz them up try hot gluing two bottle caps around a bead making them stand out from any beads anybody else has. Its simple, takes very little time or money, and is effective in engaging in conversation with the ladies.

The Day of you should enjoy yourself. Any typical day for me I am somewhat subdued, but once the green afro comes out I become quite the opposite. I let my inner rock star shine through, and people tend to gravitate to me. Second know your limits. The day is a marathon, and not a sprint. Nobody wants to deal with "The Drunk Guy". I always will have a drink in my hand, but will pace myself to maybe a drink an hr. Third, you should always have your trip home planned out. Chances are you are going to be drunk before the night is over, so have a plan to get home safe.

Once you have done your prep work, and the day has arrived before you head out make sure you are dressed properly. Find something green
