X-mas Loneliness

For most people, Christmas is the best time of the year. It was for me for many, many years. However, then came the divorce, and with the grown and married, it meant Christmas alone. I thought I knew what depression was until I was alone on Christmas. It is like the world is going to a great party.....but you are not invited!

What makes it tougher is that most places of relaxation or refuge are closed; ie bars, stores, restaurants. So it becomes a table for one in my apartment and count the hours until the sunrise on December 26th. Like I said, I thought I knew what depression was. Boy, was I wrong!

Fortunately, I am in a better place today. My new tradition of watching "It's a Wonderful Life" and spending a little time with some friends and the GF has replaced the clock watching of the past. And then there is Senior Sizzle, which I noticed last year is actually pretty busy on Christmas Day. I guess I wasn't alone with being alone on Christmas, so there were lots of good peeps to chat with who were just looking to chat as well. People talking with people is always the best, whether it's a sex site or a Google wine chat room.

So, here is to all of us! Those in every place in their lives that they either want to be or don't want to be. And here is to everyone finding peace this holiday season. Merry Christmas, my dear friends. And here is to a great, sex filled 2018! (hey, it is still a sex site, right?)

 Seems to me, anyway, that to adopt the Hollywood programming that you have to feel alone, or lonely, on Dec 25th , if people are not around, is really stupid.

 I know that feeling. I was single for many years. I hated to go make rounds from invits . I had no car so a lot of time I felt like the odd person out. Family/siblings had there own thing to do.
I solved it since I was in health care, Too volunteer to work, and that gave me a lot of Joy to be there for those who could not make it home and my co-workers with children making memories.
