 Or is the friend zone like the black hole ( No that kind of hole, the one where you can not escape from ) That's my 2 cents ,once in that zone there is no escape.

 If you were "friend zoned", then other men get to have sex with her, not you. WHY would you want to be "the one" ? Or do you mean "one of the ones having sex with her" ?

 kindness/ sincerity and directness works for me. Why dont you state your intent...take a chance and gauge her response? Perhaps your being married is a game changer for her. If you re already friends...i say make an offer she cant refuse. ~~ Good Luck !
