Just had hernia surgery yesterday. It takes about 24 hours for the drugs to wear off. And then it hits you like a ton of bricks. The pain. They give you a prescription for narcotics. Now I know why, well I've known before, people start taking narcotics after some kind of procedure to deal with the physical pain. But I've taken narcotics before and they just make me sick and vomit. Some people have a different reaction and become addicted.
