THE PROCRASTINATOR

He was thinking about the past year and wondering what went wrong. All that time having gone by; wasted time, things left undone, effort not made. I don't want to think about it today! Oh, I'll do it! I'll get it done tomorrow, this weekend, next week! And so today passes, so does tomorrow, and this weekend, and next week. But it doesn't get done. And soon the year is gone, and he finds himself wondering again, what went wrong. All that time having gone by; wasted time, things left undone, effort not made! I don't want to think about it today! Oh, I'll do it! I'll get it done tomorrow, this weekend, next week! And so today passes, so does tomorrow, and this weekend, and next week. But it doesn't get done. Till one day he is lying on his deathbed, wondering what went wrong. All that time having gone by; wasted time, things left undone, effort not made. I don't want to think about it today! Oh, I'll do it! I'll get it done tomorrow, this weekend, next week! But there is no tomorrow, no this weekend, no next week! And so it never gets done.
