 ok so not much detail here at all..you a teacher? this is a student? So why are you not taking charge and speaking to the students parents or guardian? its an easy fix is it not?

I teach at a university. It is illegal for me to talk with parents as my students are adults.

Who takes a puppy to class without having a great back-up story?

"But, Sir, it's National Take Your Puppy to College Day"
"But, Sir, this puppy is in training to detect Flat Earthers"
"But, Sir, I'm a federal employee and this puppy is in Witness Protection"
