How was my Monday?

How was my Monday? I think this pretty much sums it up.  I got a phone call from the Spawn's school today asking that I come pick her up. Apparently she's been quarantined due to exposure to another student who tested positive for COVID. The good news, I was told, was that she could return to school on Friday. So, I'm thinking to myself.... When did this exposure happen? The didn't have school last week past Tuesday, it would have had to have been on Monday or Tuesday. Why am I just now hearing about this? I feel like there's something broken in this process. By the time I was notified it was already seven days into the quarantine period. Even better, I got a call from the ex husband at about :19 am, he said he had just gotten off the phone with the school. He wanted know if I needed him go pick her up. Funny thing is, I had already picked her up. I had been the school, picked her up, dropped her off at the apartment, and returned back work by :06 am. I was on a time crunch as I was doing an orientation and had new employees meeting with me at am. I'm not feeling very confident in the level of communication that's happening at the school presently. Thankfully this is not something I have deal with very often. Damn COVID! |

Here the bigger ? Had you child been exposed to the other child. And they came home Monday past it on to you Not knowing you. You yourself could come down with it Them what your at work before it hit you You now spread it to others It's how it works it how it spread We are off this for a long time shots or no shot. Glad nothing happened so far stay healthy it your only chance Even that safe to say.

Hmmm... Yep. THAT, might twinge a nerve with me. Schools, huh? On the other hand, looking at that chasm... would DEFINITELY bug me. Unless of course, I had enough room to back up — and give it a shot. I'm always up for a safe road game. 🍷🍷😎❗❗ I *know* this isn't how it goes... But it tends to feel that way.

I’ll play devils advocate and hazard a guess the school didn’t know about the positive result until this Monday. Otherwise, yes the speed of communication was rather pitiful. I also wonder how many other students had to be quarantined until parents were notified. No matter the timeline, it’s still scary how easily this virus can spread if proper measures are not in place.
