Like a scene from a scary movie...

I was making my bed this afternoon when I heard a scratching noise from inside my closet.

Oh Shit!!

Poltergeist activity? Evil entities?? Demons???

Nope...

Standing in my bedroom doorway, ready bolt, I heard the familiar little meow of my Tilly.

"Now, how on earth did you get in there?!?"

I slid the closet door open and saw her tiny little face peering out at me from behind some pashminas.

"meow"

Good lord.... I hope I haven't forever traumatized my cat. It's likely she'd been in there for hours and I never noticed.

Yikes!

My Cat, Rum Tum, loves to get behind my computer desk The tell-tail sign of knowing that is where he is, will be seeing the bottom drawer pushed out about three or four inches
Run Tum.... I love that name! Cats certainly do like their napping spots!

Your kitty is beautiful! They do find the oddest places to nap, don't they! I bought a $20 cat bed for mine and she'll plop down on her $3 scratcher thing and sleep for hours.

She was completely unfazed.... She hopped out, found a shoe string, and started flinging it around with her paw.

I've heard about Schrodinger's cat in the box, but never heard about Secret_lade's cat in the closet but I see no difference between the 2 situations.
I'm glad she didn't start scratching at stuff in the middle of the night... Holy crap! LOL She would have been both alive and dead!

Mine usually sleeps on the corner of the couch. I bought a new comforter last weekend so she won't be sleeping in my room anymore.... She clawed the shit out of my other comforter.

I had that happen once. Was taking care of someone's cat for a while and one day I went looking for the cat, couldn't find him anywhere. Finally found him in the coat closet, have no idea how long he'd been in there, but he seemed calm enough when he sauntered out.
She's a sneaky little thing. She's done this before, my daughter gets mad at me for not watching for her. LOL

Poor baby. At least she not mad at you

The Light is shinning and she is lonely and waiting in the darkness.

She probably slipped in there to find a cozy spot to nap for a while, then needed your help to get back out. If she didn't bolt out like the hounds of hell were hot on her butt, then she mostly likely had just woken up and discovered she couldn't find the exit.
She did not bolt.... I was gone for about 5 hours today when I went to Traverse City too. She had to have slipped in when I got dressed this morning.
