Meanwhile at the gym....

Meanwhile at the gym.... One of my favorite co-workers and her mom showed up. I was actually super excited..... It's good to see friendly faces for a change! She took the treadmill right next to me and we chatted about work for a few minutes while she was getting herself situated. And then I remembered.... This coworker is LOUD. Five minutes into her<b> workout </font></b>her loud, bumbling laugh could be heard echoing from the gym walls. She was watching something on her phone and I was dying inside because I was working out with Loud Gym Girl. Thankfully she had to use the bathroom like every 5 minutes.... During one of her restroom breaks the older lady that was 2 treadmills down on the left decided to strike up a conversation with me. She was telling me that her husband had a stroke and he was now going to the gym twice a week for therapy and she was joining him. That explained the old guy sitting backward on the chair at the front of the gym, staring at everyone. I had remarked to myself, when I saw him chewing away and staring.... Why do old guys always look like they are chewing on something? What exactly are they chewing?? Why is he staring creepily into the gym??? It was her actual first day and I could see she was struggling, so I encouraged her to keep going. I told her that I, also, was new to the gym thing and that it'll be ok once she gets her routine. It was soon after that she stopped her treadmill and went to get the spray bottle to wipe down her machine. I smiled and chuckled a little when she returned, wiping down the wrong treadmill, thanking me for my words of encouragement. I told her I would see her next time and she flashed me a big smile. So.... Yah. I guess that was my work-out squad for today. Grandma Moses, Loud Gym Girl, and Chewing Old Guy is our cheerleader. Yikes! |

It can be nearly impossible to find the perfect gym, with the right equipment, right cost, and atmosphere without too many distractions to actually work out! Hopefully you've found a good one!

Sounds like life at the gym is a new adventure every time you go! Just imagine what it would look like in the movie version.... lol

All in all, sounds like you had a great time at the gym, lol. It's good for the work out I suppose as takes your mind off what you are doing and helps you carry on and do more reps
