A Discovery

I discover a lot of things in a day.

Missing socks.... Lost pennies.... The email I forgot to respond to....

Yesterday I discovered the Hippie had read my blog on here.

It's not surprising to me to know that he is on here as I met him here, 9 years ago, when he was merely just a blog reader, then.

From there, a friendship bloomed.

He was a trusted friend through a lot of different changes in my life.

New jobs, the<b> death </font></b>of my mother, good days and bad days.....

But the time came when I knew I had to move forward for my own personal growth. I tried really hard to get him to move forward with me, but he was resistant, and did not want to make change. I knew I could no longer remain stagnant...

So, I moved forward without him.

I am continuing on my path of improvement as I feel its time I focus on myself for a change.

And, I'm just going to be honest here, I'm kind of a mess internally.

But, I'm getting better. Each day is a new opportunity for me to get my shit together and be just a little bit more of myself.

It's paying off.

I've been offered the opportunity for a promotion at work, which I really have to mull over as it would involve a relocation, but the opportunity is on the table.

There are parts of me that still remain the though....

I don't think I will ever lose the spoiled inner drinks milk right from the carton.

Spawn - Mom!!

Me - Aaah! Where did you come from?!?

Spawn - We've had this conversation! Get a glass!

Me - I'm the only one ever drinks milk around here.

Spawn - Yah, now!!

So, yep, busted once again drinking milk right of the carton. I'm the one does the dishes! Why bother dirtying a glass when I'm the only one drinks the milk??

I'm experiencing some very mixed feelings about it all. I really like my coworkers, and my kids have a comfortable routine. Thankfully I have a little time to weigh the pros and cons.

    Isn't that what a mom usually says?
    Sounds like the job offer will take a lot of thinking and possibly planning. That's a huge decision to uproot the youngest and not be able to see the middle one as often.
My daughter is 100% my mini me. Sarcastic, funny personality.... Looks, everything. And, yes, that is something a mom would say. I said that exact same thing to her on Monday when I caught her drinking pop right out of the 2 liter. LOL

Isn't that what a mom usually says?

It's about an hour away... Far enough away that I would need to move. Which means, my daughter would be moving with me. This would be changing a lot within our day to day routine and her abilities to see her dad, my abilities to see my middle son. He wouldn't be able to just pop in whenever....

We drink a lot of water... I don't even put the milk on the table at meal times. When I have time and get back from the gym tonight, I would like to mull it over, thank you for the offer.
