If I could quit my job....

I would do it in a heartbeat today.

I literally had to tell my brand new counterpart at the store today "I've been working here for a while now, I think I can handle it." Like... WTF?!? Is the store going to fall into complete chaos the moment you step out??? To top it off, she left ME a list of what needed to be done to close.

I wanted to cram that fucking list down her throat the moment I saw the fucking thing.

It's been kind of hard keeping my anxiety at a manageable level tonight.

I'm just ready for the holiday season to be over and for things to go back to a somewhat normal state again. It sucks that my job sucks all the magic and fun out of Christmas for me.

I just can't wait for it to be over.

 I had someone give me a list under similar circumstances. I said thanks, left it on their desk and went about what I always did. In my mind I was giving them the bird.
When the going gets weird, the weird turn pro.

I didn't do anything from her list. I actually threw it in the trash. I'm sure they'll see it tomorrow when they come in and open the store.... I don't really give a shit though.

 I've always had issues with that. it does make it hard to keep one moth shut and not tell them off. I did tell a boss, who was half my age " Gee I have never thought of doing it that way in all of my 35 years of doing this shit ". He never question my work ability again.

 If I could, I would quit my job too. .. Or at least take this month off.

It sounds like you've been having a rough time with the taxi thing lately... I have a degree in office administration, I've been considering maybe looking for an office job lately. I just don't think I can find one that will pay me what I currently make. How sad is that???

 retail can be a pain, it almost sounded like that could have been a superior telling you what to do or else it was just a list of what he or she forgot to do, but be nice when confronting that person
