You Are Significant! Inspired by a friend, thought about during a time I wondered and challenged, and wanting to just let people know no matter how small you think you do... even if you think NOTHING! It is something to others. Your purpose in Life is Significant Whether you a wife or a mother A friend or neighbor Your purpose in life is significant Whether you lend an ear Or bake a cake for someone Your purpose in life is significant You are unique, a gift that is irreplaceable The simplest of things you do matter Your purpose in life is significant To share a smile, a quote, or laughter May make a heart feel lighter Your purpose in life is significant So, if you wonder who you are And why you may be here Your purpose in life is significant So, wake with the knowledge You are wanted and needed Your purpose in life is significant The most silent of deeds that go unnoticed May be worth a thousand ripples Your purpose in life is significant You may race around to doing things Missing what you have accomplished Your purpose in life is significant You may struggle at home At work, or addiction Your purpose in life is significant You may feel alone or depressed Just know there is a hand near by Your purpose in life is significant So, remember when you question Your worth, your life, or what seems to be impossible Your purpose in life is significant |

Firstly... the following is not looking for a 'pity party' or fishing for compliments... this is just a recounting and expression of my life and thinking. Sadly, saying this to strangers is easier than trying to engage those directly dealt with in my day to day life. For most of my life through to my mid 20's... and sporadically beyond, I've been told I was worthless, too ugly for anyone to love, so on and so forth, I think we all know the work of psychological, emotional and physical bullies. Sadly for me, this 'indoctrination' has become something in my mind so entrenched that it is been impossible for even professional's to reverse. I go through life believing all these things. To the point I have zero self worth, I have no confidence with women, I have a fear of sharing my date of birth because, traditionally my birthday has been targeted as the most effective weapon to hurt me. I have moved cities, working in a job I'm apparently quite adept at, but, still, no matter how I've tried (not to be confused with being a try-hard), I'm still the odd man out, the butt of jokes. After almost dying from the symptoms of an auto-immune disease I was diagnosed with (just in time, by about 3 months), I've lost the ability to be able to keep up with friends due to energy loss and illness. Now, after that background, my view of your lovely post is true for everyone else. I say this because, the people I've met over the years since I moved have all stopped dealing with me, will ignore messages, texts and calls to them. If I drop around to visit they suddenly have to go out somewhere.... I agree that most people are indeed significant... and given the way life is rolling out in front of me... it would suggest I am one of those exceptions to the rule, so, yes, it appears I am in actual fact.... insignificant.... I hope that ramble made sense. lol. I think that verse was lovely and thanks for sharing... I hope you have an amazing weekend, take care, have fun and be safe.
