Diary of a Decent Guy #41 (why i hate one night stands) I know this may be a little shocking. A Guy who hates one night stands! Yes you have officially now seen everything  I didnt want to just throw that statement out there, without any substance to back it up. Please allow me chance to explain a bit further WHY i detest one night stands.I want to start with something that i hold at my core. A belief that sex is better when enjoyed with a regular partner. I hate one night stands because you havent had chance to learn the others preferences. Its usually awkward, bumpy and not very fulfilling... I like to take time to get to know my partners. I like to discover for myself what their bodies love. I feel that sex is a journey that you take with your respective partner, and in my experience, no two journeys are the same. For me the journey is one of the best bits, the sex becomes more satisfying, more intense and just generally better. In my younger years, I loved going out and seeing if i could go home with someone. So its not like i havent had one night stands. Its just i think sex with a regular partner is more enjoyable. Maybe this is something that comes with a little maturity and experience? One night stands make me feel dirty, not even in the good way either. They leave me feeling used, cheap and just generally like ive lost a bit of myself - No thank you! You see it isnt always women that are left feeling that way after! That before i even mention the "walk of shame" the next day.... So there you have it. Thats why i dislike one night stands. Its the lack of connection... Give me regular!!!! *** Its like "Sex,Drugs & Rock'n'Roll.....Without the drugs......or the Rock'n'Roll...." So just filthy ramblings really! OnlyASexToy85*** |

Agreed.... the first time always has too much thinking involved to be really enjoyable. Once you get to know someone, and vice versa, THAT'S when the fun happens! The walk of shame CAN be fun tho..... if you've got the guts to look people right in the eye and smile the "yeah, I got laid" smile!

I've had a few of those over the years. For the most part, they are not even close to being satisfying. Plus the awkward conversations the next morning are never fun. And the walk of shame... Leaving some random person's house with sex hair in last night's club attire is never flattering. All of that aside, I did manage to have a couple one night stands that were decent. One in particular developed into a friendship that I maintain to this day, but we never had sex again.
