I will be honest, I'm a shy person. I always have been. I still will go up to a woman and talk to her before asking her out just in case she is taken or married. It might take some courage but I take a deep breath and see if she is interested or not first.

I was very shy growing up and it used to take a lot of liquid courage for me to go talk to women, (hence the thinking with the wrong head post comment) but I've found as I've gotten older, talking isn't a big deal, being observant and courteous can get you a long way in talking to the other sex. I can't say I use a pickup line because there really isn't one that would work good in all situations.

Shy, has never been a word used to describe me. Honestly, the only pick up line I've used since high school, and still use today is. "Hi, I'm Joel, whats your name?".

I can be a little shy, especially if the woman is really hot, but for the most part I just introduce myself and try to start a conversation, if she has a leave me alone attitude, then I know it's not worth perusing.

I love the way you make me horny without even doing anything.

It's strange, I can deal with anyone when I'm working or when there is no romantic notions involved, but, the minute I harbour an interest in a lady, I lose the power of coherent thought, fear creeps in and takes over. I've technically only had one or possibly 2 real dates in my life... (pathetic for a 41 year old I know). The rest has been sexually based contacts, mostly initiated by the women. Even when I have inadvertently developed a form of relationship, I haven't realised how. In recent years, due to an autoimmune illness I have and the complications that have come from the medication, I assume women just aren't interested in a troll like me and even if they do manage to get past the horror of my looks, I feel it isn't fair to ask someone to be burdened by the limitations my illness causes.

As for the pickup line... well, I always thought they were funny, but, never an option for 'picking up'. When I was younger and drunker, I used to make a joke pickup line at the bar. I'd move a little uncomfortably, when the lady would say "What's wrong?", I'd reply with "I've got something big and dangly in my pants.... oh wait... it's alright, it's just my keys". Take care.

I am actually a pretty shy guy as far as initial meetings go. I also don't really have any pick up line s

Yes, I'm very shy, and to make it worse I'm also short which makes my possible match list small. Not such a good match, probably why I have been single for so long.

The more attraction I feel towards a woman the more shy I feel. But I've learned that's a good thing, because it means she's someone special. I don't like pickup lines just be real and sincere when you introduce yourself. Allow the chemistry you feel to guide you forward in your conversation.

I've gotten better, but still shy and awkward about asking someone out, especially for a romantic date. It's easier to just ask platonic friends where there's no pressure. And I've never had a pick up line, they all sound lame anyway.

I tend to be shy at first when meeting new people, especially beautiful women. Once the ice is broken though, I can loosen up and let the charm flow. I've never liked dating, but it's a necessary evil so I do it. I've always been nervous when asking a woman out, because you never know what will happen and where it could go. Being single again at this stage of life and experience, it may not be as bad as it used to be....but I still get a little nervous.
