Online friendships
Online friendships Years of online hellos, goodbyes and have a good day, well wishes, birthday wishes... having fun banter in the chatrooms, the laughter created, the hugs and more hugs shared in spirit and mind... some fun sexy times on IM. Looking for you when I'm on. As the years past so much sharing has transpired. Learning of things more personal and important. Even though we've never met doesnt mean this friendship inst real. It's just different. I can care, I do care. And it hurts when you just throw it away. ~Lace |

You are exactly right !! People dont realize the impact that they have on others in this virtual world....and when they up an split ...seemingly without reason...its just as hurtful. Ive always maintained that people who dont think this is just as real , ,have lost their ability to.....feel. Some have that gift online and others dont. Thanks for these thoughts ~~

are you sure online, and offline relationships do not start and stop just like they do in real life there is a world of difference between insanity and stupidity

Even though a cyber friend is not the same as a real friend...we are all real people and can care and have real feelings towards someone...

I think more real life friendships end with proper closure. Sadly, online isn't given that same respect. agreed that people are more callous hiding behind a screen and screen name. but i have know real life friends just vanish into g$d know where. there is a world of difference between insanity and stupidity

Thinking of you today. It certainly took me a long time to adjust to the nature of online communications. Seems to be a different set of rules, which doesn't seem logical. You don't just turn and walk away from someone mid-conversation, or hang up randomly on the phone. I guess like all things in modern society, people take the easy and convenient way out, more than the respectful one. Take care xo

Gee, case I point...on 3/7/2020 I stated I was going to add more and I found this post whilst tracing my /our footprint from a more recent post of yours.... I certainly see online friendships / relationships / connectivity as real and with some, more raw and “real” than those of offline, partially coz, I’m thinking our connections here are blinded, like an experimental component devoid of most of the senses, we may be introduced thru another friends’ existing relationship with that person, same as offline, but if we search for someone online after a period of absence the trail goes cold much sooner than undertaking the same task offline, if we choose to do it. I once had a catastrophic friendship / relationship ending with us both being well liked by some (lol) and at least we’ll known in the main chat room we frequented, with her saying and accusing me of some hideous deeds she knew were not true but to challenge would in front of 30 plus pple only create 2 camps based on he said / she said. Although I did as I whether it be on / off line care about my perceived behaviour & reputation. She (with a number of years more experience online challenged me saying “you care too much about what pple here think of you...It’s irrelavent to your life“. Well it’s not coz whether it is on /offline at the end of each day, leave all ur friends and enemies out of the equation, laying ur head on your pillow the one thing I have is my reputation, based upon my doings to others that day and every other preceding it. We eventually made up and have a good close friendship again, closer than most on or offLine I’ve had. However offline I don’t believe if all things the same, I/ we would’ve put in the work to repair our friendship Ty apols for length JeffX
