R.I.P. Ickis

One of my cats died somewhat unexpectedly. He had been ill for a long time, but I thought he would continue that way for a long time still. Or that that there would be a gradual decline. No. I went to work one night and came home to find my wife in tears. I didn't get to see him "go" or say goodbye etc. I had had 3 cats, yet so much of my life revolved around this one in particular. He was difficult at times, and now I regret some things having not known how little time he had. It's been a big in-your-face reminder that we just never know. I really hate those. I won't say "live every day like it's your last" because I find that too cliche. But it is very important to never do things with the intention of "fixing" it later. There's no guarantee you can.

It's been a few days, but I'm still having some troubles with this. I apologize, but I will be even more reclusive than usual for a bit. -V

It sucks to learn this lesson the hard way. My sympathies for the loss of your cat.

Hugs~

Ickis became a significant and constant part of your life Vamp. she was a source of comfort and companionship, of unconditional love and brought you so much joy So don't be surprised if you feel devastated by the loss of such a loved family member. Please just
know that your friends are here for you to talk to ((hugs)) maybe sharing a few loving stories about her would help.
~~ thinking about you

I"m sorry for your lose. I've had to put 2 of my dogs down in the last year or so & it's a terrible thing to have to do. I still miss them when I come home & their not there to greet me.
