True dat. Unfortunately we have too many people claiming to be in charge of arbitrating our *truths*. We are now overrun with ad hoc Truth Squads gaslighting us with *alternative facts*. This is not a uniquely 21st Century problem. As Firesign Theater assured us in 1975, "Everything you know is wrong." To be sure, as Agent Mulder asserted, "The truth is out there." And we are left with a fool's errand of figuring out where it is.

the only reason someone can to lie to you is because you don't want to believe the truth there is a world of difference between insanity and stupidity

The truth is always a better option but deception fools more than the deceived. There is an axiom that I am no doubt misquoting but it’s more or that “History belongs to the victors”. Too often a lie can grow like a virus until it is accepted as true. Some people like to lay blame upon others as if it is a newly created art form. Sadly , as long as humanity exists in a social arena misinformation will occur on all sides. The greatest evil mankind ever committed is the utter hubris of man being the superior life form. Call me crazy but so-called animals behave better than humans. Just a slight tangent today. Lol My name is MrWrong and I approved this comment
