I have known 'seniors' that could run circles around people half their age. Conversely, I have known 'young' people who acted like they had one foot in the grave.

There’s nothing tragic about being 50. Not unless you’re trying to be 25. from "Sunset Boulevard" The *end-run* around age discrimination is physical beauty. Research has consistently demonstrated (and members of our community have consistently indicated) that beauty is the most important criterion of human *attraction*. Although there are plenty of other more sensible considerations, most of us cannot (or will not) get past our desire to *match* with the most beautiful candidate possible. Happily, the path to *beauty* passes through one aspect of our lives over which we have significant (though far from total) control and does not involve cosmetic surgery. Namely, health. Nothing slows the aging process more dramatically than these foundation blocks of health: nutrition, fitness, rest, dental care and sunscreen. All of these *healthy choices* are largely under our control. Nurturing them will truly make age *just a number*.

Hi!! Some days I have to confront my age, tho, I do so as quickly as possible ... LOL ... with 53 fast approaching, my body feels it some times. Like you, my mind won't hear of any such nonsense. Emotionally ... eh ... I live on emotion as opposed to logic, which is ever a work in progress to find the balance. Math = BOO to the 5th power - HA! That's a good internal age! Happy Monday ...
