"A thing of beauty is a joy forever: its loveliness increases; it will never pass into nothingness" - John Keats

Beauty is subjective and it’s appeal can fade over time.

I failed Calculus 2, two times before I figured out I should change programs and step into business instead of science.
It worked out. I guess it was beautiful to finally ditch those math and physics books.
Yep... 😊 👍

Perception is a funny thing. What one person considers beautiful, another might wonder why it’s being lauded.
I personally look for inner beauty. That intangible thing we call a soul or just inspiration.

Such a true quote my friend and it reminds me of this saying "Beauty is in the Eyes of the Beholder" another one that rings so very true. May your day be filled with much beauty today..xoxo

Seduce the mind and see what a wonderful adventure the body will take you on..

It is worth noting that Keats's idea of beauty's *permanence* contradicted a popular argument by the philosopher David Hume that humans are continuously reshaped by experience and hence liable to change their views. Thus beauty, as argued in earlier comments, is ephemeral. In the poem ("Endymion") for which the quote comprises the first lines, Keats strives to make his case that the power of beauty assures its immutability.

Your choice to complement Keats's quote with an observation on the practitioners of that most elegant and rigidly quantitative of sciences, mathematics, is apropos.

Hi! I try to find something of beauty in everything that crosses my path. Okies ... bugs ... doubtful that is gonna happen ... LOL ... the soul is such an integral part of someone, or, something, such as a painted picture. I try to imagine what the artist had in his minds eye while stroking his paintbrush upon the canvass ...

As usual, a very thought provoking comment, and, I tend to learn something new! The most interesting part for me is this: " power of beauty assures its immutability". Always enjoy when you visit - thank you! Happy Tuesday - hope you had a stellar day!
