 Interesting definition - I had not heard that word before. My dog hates thunder which I guess most dogs do.

 The quote is a playful observation on the relationship between the speed of light and the speed of sound. If we could only find more ways to meld physics and poetry!

The dog that I used to have - had to put her down at 18 - she got a Valium for storms. Have you tried what they call a "thunder-jacket"? A friend of mine said it really works! It hugs your doggie, giving them a feeling of being held and petted. I taught you something new?! YAY!!!

 I probably do not love lightning and thunder, but as a farm boy, a thunder storm at night probably meant that I was allowed to sleep in a little longer than usual as whatever was planned for the day would need to wait until things dried out some.

Now a reasonable rain storm is another thing as it rained several times on our honeymoon and the sound of rain on the roof can still start her motor.
