Lying to one another

Just curious as to why people feel the need to lie about themselves when someone does reply and you start chatting? I understand this is a hookup site. I find lying to be a real turn off. I am honest and upfront from the start. Do people not realize than when you meet in person, and you have sent them 10-20 year old pics, etc that the other person wouldn't see that? I tend to end up saying "No Thanks"
Point is, be yourself!!!

 we dont have the answer either...we fully disclose the typical 'deal breakers' that we smoke, limited accessibility, body type, etc...right off the top...whats the point in lying? better for folks to know up front and if they still decide to go further great, if not, we have saved everyone some embarrassment later.

 Seriously, the first person I ever met from here used a photo of someone else completely. I left the restaurant in less than 2 minutes. He couldn't figure out why.

 virus or not, its a shame. Its not like im intentionally looking to catch people, I just like to know who im with that's all. Especially since there are some crazy people out there

 I have never figured that out, was with someone who had some quirks that I could have grown to love but ultimately the lies just got to be too much, just couldn't believe anything I was being told anymore. You eventually forget what you said but the other person doesn't and your caught / exposed and lose something or someone forever.
