If something is truly erotic, you don't need pictures for the prose to have the desired effect (but most erotica is just dreck). An erotic image, on the other hand, is always stimulating, but what turns on a given observer is a subjective matter.

Generally the majority of women using their own photos, are no longer visually sexually stimulating, so using internet photos is probably a better idea. But as far as erotic-blogging goes? I found reading about 15, "All" the erotic story plots , I've seen, begin to repeat , in some way or another, and the reader becomes numb. It's just like watching horror movies or murder/crime shows, after awhile people just become desensitized.
