Taking photos off someone's profile here and using them here is not only wrong but daft. Legally I think anything posted on this site is owned by the site! I work on the principle that anything posted on this site or other sites and in the internet generally can be stolen and manipulated. Most online dating fraud is based on someone sealing a photograph they've found on the internet. I once came across one couple on this site who stole all the words on my profile for their profile. Thankfully they removed it when I mailed them!

Invasion of the body snatchers was a a damned good book! Nobody (to the best of my knowledge) has lifted my pics, but following one of A FF's fairly frequent security lapses, I have been the "victim" of attempted blackmail (I never post anything that I would find compromising, so they were SO  . As a writer, I am hot on copyright violation and one's photos are one's own copyright. Most people are unaware, not malign.

Whatever we post here....words and pics are property of Various, Inc. not just Senior Sizzle, as other people sign on here from a slew of other sites. Google your user name and just see how many other sites we are on, without even knowing. Some sites ive never heard of. Its very scary, particularly in light of the fact of how many times the site that we think we signed up for has been hacked. Ive always said, once we hit ' send' its out there in the ether for ever . We must be mindful of that. Its good your snatchers took your photos down. I wonder the recourse IF they were not so cooperative ~

note to anyone that had their photo stolen and republished anywhere... it is not only not very nice but it is also very illegal. many countries have passed laws making this a criminal act, and yes even if they are in a different country they could find themselves doing some serious jail time. there is a world of difference between insane and stupid
