I've had a — state of the art — 'scratch 'n sniff' phone now, for many years and to be honest, they're overrated. Sure that stunning perfume add of her reveals the scent of her perfume. But it also can't mask the fact that she just farted before the photographer snapped the shot! When I think about it I'd like to be able to preview the scent of her hair/head and breath. It's important for the hugging/kissing part. And I've met a couple of girls who smelled delicious. Of course scratch 'n' sniff photos would lead to someone developing a halitosis filter for PhotoShop and then some of the value is lost.
