Eee... backs are bad.
I blew my knee out playing football 🏈 when I was in my twenties. It never bothers me, except when it does.
And then I'll be reminded of that summer day when I missed that pass and fell into a hole someone had dug in the middle of the field.
Yep... lasts an hour or so and then it pops back to normal. Floating bone 🍖 chip?
Who knows. Pain of ANY type is bad. ❗❗

I feel your pain, literally. I have same back issue from time to time. I've learned to feel the beginning symptoms and as long as I restart my stretching's process I'm okay. Many with this condition are not as lucky.
Ice, stretch and exercise.

BTW, sent you a message on your privet blog post.. FYI

I only ever went skating once, when I was in the 6th form. I ended up in the local hospital with concussion! I do ski, however...

I've had sciatica a couple of times and know how unpleasant it is. The second time, I had a course of accupuncture which, if it did not cure it, certainly made the episode shorter.

Oh no
Hope you feel better soon

Maybe a hot bath could do the trick if you can't go to Urgent Care and get your back looked at

Hey J, you need ol' Doc Kep's internal back support.... That'll set you right 😁😁 Doubt it'll do much for the siatica but may help take your mind of it...... 😂😂

But the back is a bugger..... Hope you feel better soon....

My back injury wasn't due to sports. It was from me caring for a woman who could not do anything herself. I was lucky that the problem fixed itself. The physical therapist said there's something that stretches out and it can go back into shape. When it did hurt it was bad. Mostly during the night when I had to get her for the bathroom. Never thought I would make it in time but I did.

Humans are the most dangerous animals on earth.

If only animals had the ability to know when to keep away from us humans they would be better off.

I find it somewhat unbelievable that I have never broken a bone, because I have experienced some catastrophes. I haven't really messed myself up too bad... Once and a while I will turn wrong or something and will get a painful tightness in the muscle tissue in my back, on like some humbug stuff... The back is such a bad breaking place to be in pain. I've seen young men walking with canes, based on Herculean tendencies. I was doing like 500 push ups a day maybe five days a week for I don't know how long. I don't know how that will effect my bone structure going forward but...

My shoulder was in pain from a few months ago... Oddly enough I think it was from sleeping on it wrong... It was messed up. My shoulder was messed up and then I twisted wrong and my back was messed up. Then I think I exacerbated a slight tear in my thigh muscle. I was like "Im falling apart". I always just play through the pain. In some ways it makes find immortality in mortality, because I think if you can find a lesson in the pain then you are operating in a place beyond the pains of mortality. Also, there may even be a preventative measure that exists in such pains, in that you become more conscious of your modes of operation and therefore potentially prevent future mishaps by say... Monitoring your form etc.

My lower back acts up periodically from my Judo days. I find ice and regular stretching really helps.

While I don't have a back injury per se when you're built like me, back strain is a given. Really the reason I started going to the gym 10+ years ago was to strengthen my core. And I have too, plus I know just what to do when my back starts getting a wee bit cranky, which is still does from time to time.

Hope you feel better soon.

I feel for you. I use to ache all the time. My daughter became a Neuromusuclar skeleton specialist. Took her a while but has me that I seldom have pain. When she comes to my house, she always fine tune me before she leaves. I have been down and have went 2 hours to her house and she will get back going.

All CrossFit related. Smashed shin on box jumps. Bruises from barbell lifts. And fucked up shoulder from Rig work. Still do it every day.

I never was into sports at any point in my life, save for skateboarding. I was lucky enough to have had some ankle sprains as my most serious skateboarding injury.

I do, however have a knee injury from a motorcycle accident from 2007 that still bothers me sometimes.

That, and the usual age-related joint pains...

Dear Joy,

Sorry to hear about your pain & Hope that you will feel better real soon.
For Sciatica, I recommend what other wonderful readers have said to you/..Ice for inflammation and you can switch off to heating pad after that. I also agree that seeing a real good chiropractor can really help.

Gentle Healing Hugs,

Ana6
