A girlfriend of mine (from the days when they were girls and friends) used to say "Je suis enfante du monde", I always liked that. Home is a small village near a small town in southern England, but since 1989, I have been a wondering scientific minstrel in Europe. I tend to look outwards, rather than inwards, but that doesn't preclude one from having roots. Counting the UK, I have lived and worked in five countries and my work took me further afield too.

Hi my friend, seem like Port Perry is the place to be.

I'm still trying to remember if I voted for Biden for his first elected position - as a County Commissioner in New Castle County, Delaware. I grew up in a small rual area. Moved to the big city for 10 yr then moved back to original spot I grew up at. And am still here. The Carter Family the founders of country music are all relatives.

You live in a really nice small town my 🇨🇦 friend. Unfortunately, my small town is getting more crowded in areas where it once wasn’t just 10 years ago. Funny women are incredibly sexy!

My choice is small town. The friendships seem easier to me

I was born in Kansas City, MO, a big city. My father was in school so it was never home. I now live outside a tiny town. I love it

Famous People from here? Yeah there are a few I suppose. If your remember the movie "That thing you do" staring Tom Hanks the band in the film was from my home town. In the film they called the band the Wonders. A joke name really as they were one hit wonders in the music industry. The band got their start doing gigs at local bars and supper clubs here in town in the 60's. Then I suppose you could count Sharon Stone, who lived and grew up a stones throw away in Sagertown. Who doesn't now Lucy? She grew up not far away as well in Jamestown NY. You have to throw the stone a bit further for that one though. Desi played the garden as well with his band back in the day. Many of the big bands ( 30's & 40's ) got their start doing gigs at Rainbow Gardens here in town who went on to become big. Lots of famous names trod the boards with the local playhouse for their first roles. Ann B. Davis for one, Alice of the Brady Bunch. Bon Jovi, though not actually from her has ties to the area. His Grand Parents live in town, when he first made it "big" they did a concert in town, think it was free concert at that? May historical people as well, Gen. Mad Antony Wane..Oliver Hazard Perry "Don't give up the ship" And of course George Washington was stationed at Fort LeBouf in Waterford during the French and Indian wars. I'm sure he spent some time at the Dickson Tavern down on the lake front on his leaves. As it was the hub back in those days for all the big historical names. Then there is the infamous we'd like to forget about. R. "Bud" Drywer comes to mind. A state Rep. who took his own life on live TV by shooting himself in the head after being caught in a political mess. In that vein, we also have The Pizza Bomber...Think they made a film about that as well. Being a "Big" little City We've had lots of people come and go. Some to brag about and like I said some we'd like to forget about.

Though I am used to city life.. my heart loves quiet towns large enough to meet new people, but quiet enough you can walk the streets at night and not worry who is behind you! Love a community that gets together once a night to sing dance and play games.. Now all I need to find is a wonderful community who play sing dance in the nude. While sparking orgies and welcoming anyone new!
