I would have loved to have seen THAT! lol 😂
I've had women bosses and men. Men are definitely easier to deal with. Like you said..
no bs. Women are always trying to prove themselves... as if it's a competition. I get it, Underappreciated perhaps under paid but seriously
.. it gets lame after a while.
Yep... I prefer men. Not to say that I haven't had a few asshole men bosses... 😊

I've had female bosses in the past akin to the one you just described. It is usually an issue they harbour towards not you, but your sex in general. It could be for a multitude of reasons.
I once had a very 'bossy' superior and what she didn't realize was that I wasn't just some doormat she could simply walk over anyway she pleased. She was rightly pissed when I quit and told management it was due in part to her behavior and demeanor.
I'm glad you stood up to her right at the start as it will be to your benefit in the future.

Wow...hope it works out for you. I actually have made out well when I have had female bosses. In fact still share friendships till this day.

How we my favorite Boss was of Italian decent and had a large family...11 kids. He treated me like I was part of the litter. What I liked about him the most was that he would get mad about something we disagreed on or did. But two minutes later said let’s go grab a cup of coffee or some lunch. He never ever held a grudge. You always knew where you stood with him. I was sad when he passed away but his family said that he always kept me in high esteem.

Good luck this evening

For the past ten years I've had a female boss. I've never had any problems with her, or her with me for that matter. In fact yesterday after going over some of the news we've been getting here lately ( or not getting as the case seems to be ) She offered to write me a letter of reference if I ever needed one. Telling me what a great employee I've been and what a pleasure it was to work with me these past ten years. I've had other female bosses as well as male bosses. Some knew their stuff when dealing with situations and employee relations others didn't. those that didn't know what they were doing usually weren't the best bosses.

I've worked mostly for women. I have had the same female boss for almost 15 years now. Shes great.

I believe that when an issue needs to be addressed, it should be done in private and no in front of others. I followed that as a coach, when I would take a player aside and point out something that needed to change.

Had more male bosses than female, didn't really see any difference to be honest. Sure some had better skills in some areas than others, but all in all it was OK.

However, one of my first jobs was for an employment agency doing mainly office work. I got placed in a big company for nearly a year and at one point it was me (the only guy) and 14 women of differing ages.

The amount of bitchiness that went on in that place was extraordinary. As I was agency staff and not an employee I was able to avoid most of what went on by keeping my mouth shut but it was certainly an eye-opener.

Wouldn't mind being P.A. to a nice woman though - seeing her every day dolled up in her business attire, dealing with her daily requests, scheduling her day, that could be fun.

I am so sorry that happened to you my friend, shame on her for doing that in front of customers. She should of taken you else where, or waited until later. Some people just do what they want when they want. I am glad you took her to the back and let her have it. This is why the majority of my jobs have either been Managerial where I was in charge of jobs that I worked alone at. I get how some female can be very catty, been there and done that too.

And in saying that the worse boss I had was A MALE who had LITTLE MAN SYNDROME and hated the fact that the residents liked me much better than they did him!!! I hope your day is a terrific one my friend..xx..

Seduce the mind and see what a wonderful adventure the body will take you on..

The worst boss I had was a female too, could not handle any opinion that differed from her. I felt she tried to hard to be a man, maybe it is a result of our work culture that forced her to be that.
Hated my time with her.

I have had both male and female bosses. I have had good and bad with both. The best boss I had was a female. The worst was a male.

Hi Joy.

thanks for taking me further with this lesson.

I think I am a descendant of the Incan dynasty, so i believe I rule the world... just sayin'... so, it is hard for me to work for female or male bosses...

however, I have fared better with a male boss as opposed to a female...

I've never had a male boss hit on me... but, I've had some female bosses hit me up, uninvited... and, that was a lesson for me... because, it goes both ways... and, uninvited hits are never a good thing...

made me think of this...

Lana Del Rey - "You Can Be the Boss"

You taste like the Fourth of July
Malt liquor on your breath, my, my
I love you but I don't know why…
You can be the boss, daddy
You can be the boss
Taste like a keg party, back on the sauce
I like you a lot, I like you a lot
Don't let it stop…
You can be the boss, daddy
You can be the boss
Bad to the bone, sick as a dog
You know that I like, like you a lot
Don't let it stop…

I've had men and women as bosses. I really find when the mix is how business is gonna run(men and women) the show. Most times its about who has the upper hand and who is gonna take the next step towards the next management level. In my current employ, there are no women in charge. just men being catty. They all want credit for the next good idea but will absolutely blow up the place before letting another with a better idea get traction. It's sad really. Instead of absorbing the better idea and using it to improve the workplace, they will do their best to bury it until they can think of somethin better.

Being a good boss is like being a good parent. You never call them out in front of others but take them to the side. You never ask them to do what you are not willing to do yourself. And lastly, encouragement and affirmation goes furhter than belittling. Like you, I prefer straight talk, even if it differs from my opinion at least then you know what you are dealing with and can make a more informed answered and not continue on in doing things that will cause more irritation. I have been in management for a long time and much prefer my new role where I only deal with contractors. They do it my way, they try to please me, or I simply use someone else next job. Also, they like to keep me happy instead of me always trying to keep them happy.
