Well believe it or not there are a lot of people on here that do not meet for one reason or another..I for one cannot unless I kick my aide out for a couple days or a weekend. but if I did then I wouldn't be any better than someone who comes on here and makes all kinds of meets then stands a person up..My disability does not see me going to anothers place even if they do host its like being caught between the " proverbial rock and a hard place." I would love to meet someone who does understand the limitations but that's a fish barrel shoot as well...lol as for the glitches and yes there are a lot I don't bother anymore I don't care a lot and don't stress it.....If someone wants me to see a message and they are interested in chatting and serious ok if they are not ok again....

My profile does not state I am not meeting anyone but it specifically states the type of person I will not meet. It's my choice to stay with my own parameters or on a whim, step outside them and my choice to tell someone I am not going to meet them for whatever reason. And I a certainly not going to invite someone I do not know well into my home- been there done that- big mistake. Not having any problems with messages so it has to be random site glitches.We should not be bitching about missing them if your credit card is not involved . People hang around for a variety of reasons. One of the interesting things about this site is the diversity...people from all over the world...all walks of life...professions, lifestyles....rich, poor, different beliefs, schooling. Being a member here almost 13 years has given me the opportunity to make friends and acquaintances in person or just online that I can’t imagine I would have the opportunity to have contact with any other way. I used to be very active and meet people a lot. Now, for various reasons, I seldom do, but stay a member to keep my options open...because one just never knows...

Don't know why others come here or stay? For me I do so to write in my blog or to read other blogs. Dull I know, but given my home situation I really can't host others. With an adult daughter living here as well as the grand kids, it be kind of hard to explain if I did so. As you know I'm not the "one night" type as well. But get requests from couples, and singles to meet for just that. But with no real connection to those who ask, I never accede to those types of requests. I'll meet out for coffee or a drink if they might be close, though they seldom are. To see if a friendship would be worth developing most fall short, pressing for a just a good time the minute you sit down to take a sip of coffee. So my friend, you not alone in this boat, There are others just like yourself who are here for their own reasons. Have a good one my friend.

I've been here much to long without meeting anyone... Not by choice... As I joined to try and meet a woman for friendship and possibly more I am seriously considering leaving  I'm sure some people actually meet for various reasons and I'm guessing those that are successful in real life are the ones successful here. Have a grrrrrrrrrrrrreat day
