I have had several women, or at least they say they are female, IM me and ask for me to contact them at an email address off site. When I ask for them to do a 20 second cam I only get crickets back. Yeah, scammer. Sorry SOBS. But I think these are mostly dudes posing as women.

There seems to be a rash of what they claim are young gals looking for fun on here using the IM...They always lead with a pic and then of course want yours..Being free members they can't e-mail you...Had 2 different profiles with the same pic that contacted us just today..We ignore them but really should report them as you had written..It's really a shame but to be expected on these types of sites

Well I for one have ratted out more fakes than I have bothered to post about. I mean why give them an heads up?? I just copy and paste the profile and whatever dialog might have transpired and zip it to abuse team. I have about a 70% success rate. I totally agree!! Speak up and help at least one more person. PS: I find that this is not the only place to get "tagged" I just got one from some francophile ass in France- and I stopped using FB before for similar reasons. They are everywhere!!! I have yet to have received a message from that particular handle but I do get a few from 50 year olds, similar kind of message but they are actually 30 and give you an email address to contact them. You do and they send you a pic of a 30 some year old fitness model and same story, lonely and needing some loving.......ummmm..........really? you are a fitness model and you are asking a near 60 year old man a night of fun and sex? Then they try to get you to go to some site that checks if you are std free. I really wonder if any men actually fall for this. After the first one, I now dismiss any requests when they post that they are really 30 when they post they are 50. Thanks for the heads up author

So wait.....you're telling me those are fake emails? Crap, and here i was thinking I was getting lucky this weekend.  I get some crazy offers on IM..lots of cut and paste offers, by a different pic every time. At times I wonder, besides the bloggers, how many real people are actually on here. Hi Joy, my experience is young women on messenger miles away claiming to be older (50's) no picture of any kind, giving out off site email addresses, has to be some sort of entrapment scam. I think the answer is that everyone genuine should get verified. Well done for speaking out !

There are fakes here in the blogs, too. I've been keeping my eye on one in particular that just appeared out of the blue one day.

I regularly get an IM from a faked profile usually with the word "Mistress" in the handle, complete with email address in the message looking for contact. They get blocked and reported but I've no idea whether the site actually do anything about them. Then there's the plethora of fake profiles all with a URL somewhere in the profile and all of which I have supposedly viewed. I sent a list of about 30 profile handles to the fraud team but nothing happened. I think with these profiles, they are just created and then abandoned after one day by the scammers, so to remove them from the site would take too much of the admin's time. Plus of course it makes the site look busier than it actually is. I think there must be less than 100 real people left on the site!

Fakes abound ,,men seem to like being women when it comes to online hook up/dating. Women can scam too, which really works easier on some men. Hope no one falls for their scams but as some one did not say "there is one born every minute." Thank you for the heads up. Too bad this site does not monitor these people like another place that I visit does. They catch fakers fast; there is mail in register saying " this mail has been removed" and if I click the nick it's account is gone. That place does not have the traffic volume this site does. Which is good in a way.
