Rock on JOY, have a great weekend! I have heard it said that Man Protien is good for the Vocal Chords As a one of the older Baby Boomers, my musical memories range from the late 50's Jerry Lee Lewis, Chuck Berry 60's Beatles, Stones, Beach Boys, Steppenwolf and Cream 70's AC / DC and my favouite Robert Palmer. I haven't planned my Funeral Music yet, but somethings from the list above would be in it! Perhaps "Addicted to Love" would be apt Please visit my Blog "Older but no Wiser"

Black Sabbath was the first band I saw live. I was 15. I saw Alice Cooper later the same year. I'm sure y'all will have a wonderful time, as you generally do at those type things. Now, break a leg, and blog on!

Joy, I enjoyed the videos. I can never decide what to have played at my funeral, only the first song which I am not sure what it is called an old Blues number, with the line "I want seven men going to the graveyard and six men coming back, dig my grave with the ace of spades............." I have considered "Highway To Hell" and Purple's "Sweet Child In Time", as an ending. A favourite band is too difficult an ask and never finalising my funeral songs means that I am going to live forever!

As much as I'd like to have them play Raise a Little Hell, I've really never been much of a hellraiser, and those days are long gone. And since my funeral will likely be in a Catholic church, I will probably have hymns - possibly the ones we used at my Mom's funeral. I hope it won't be during Lent, because they put the kibosh on a couple of hymns we wanted, as they were not considered appropriate during that part of the liturgical year. Of course, at the family gathering after, anything is fair game. It is like the twilight zone around here lately, so my song is Touch of Grey by the Grateful Dead or it could be Twilight Zone by Golden Earring. 👽 Funny women are incredibly sexy!

thanks for taking me a little further with this one, in anticipation of your busy evening... go rock 'em baby... all night long... I had to change your question... you know me... I took the path less traveled by... and, so on, and so forth... so... The White Stripes... Seven Nation army would be my 21st century classic rock song... just sayin'... Hmm... The White Stripes - "Seven Nation Army" I'm gonna fight 'em all A seven nation army couldn't hold me back They're gonna rip it off Taking their time right behind my back And I'm talking to myself at night Because I can't forget Back and forth through my mind Behind a cigarette And the message coming from my eyes Says leave it alone Don't want to hear about it Every single one's got a story to tell Everyone knows about it From the Queen of England to the hounds of hell And if I catch it coming back my way I'm gonna serve it to you And that ain't what you want to hear But that's what I'll do And the feeling coming from my bones Says find a home I'm going to Wichita Far from… To leave private messages, please use my confidential mailbox at my blog: Good luck!!!

It might not be your kind of Rock n Roll, but this is one that will be played at my funeral... Manny's Bones Los Lobos On the day Manuel went and died The men all laughed and the girls did cry Now it's time to lay his soul to rest Do him up in his Sunday best, oh my Manny's dead and didn't leave me none Went off to heaven, left his bed undone Gone away, he didn't leave a cent The dogs are all wonderin' where their daddy went, oh my Don't go leave me here by myself Won't hear me callin' when you've all done left Guess I didn't make it out this time But I'll be waitin' on the other side, bye bye Way down in Manny's bones A dry old river and a dusty soul We'll take him down to the fishin' hole And let the water take him to his home Way down in Manny's bones A dry old river and a dusty soul We'll take him down to the fishin' hole And let the water take him to his home Way down in Manny's bones Way down in Manny's bones Songwriters: David Kent Hidalgo / Louis Frausto Perez https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rSd1uERGDsY no casket for this man,,,maybe a shroud,,no formaldhyde either...send this no good body for some kind of science use...get a life sized cardboard cutout of me,,,stand me in the corner,,,no weeping ,,,have fun,,party music,,,no preaching to convert folks either,,,drinks and chow for all.
