Yes, I've been to Toronto. Took the kids up to visit the Toronto Zoo, visited the tower, all the touristy stuff. We didn't stay long, It was just a day trip, the kids enjoyed the zoo and we all enjoyed the visit and the city.

Yes, we drove. As I recall it took us about six hours. I would have been less, but with the kids we had to stop more often.

My cousin lived in New Market for a while, I visited him there for a few days. He also lived in a few other suburbs of Toronto. Running up the 401 to hwy 35 clips the western edge of Toronto; our old route to Lake Kushog. Now we run 401 to 400 to 11 to 118 almost to 35. I have been passed Toronto many times; but never in Toronto. I would not be surprised if there were other members of my family living in your area...Guelph is not that far away...there was a large concentration of family in that area.

Joy, it sounds just like the place I should like to visit x

Hi Joy. thanks for sharing... Yes... I've been to Toronto a few times... Montreal, only once... I caught the Blue Jays playing the Baltimore Orioles with Roger Clemmens battling Mike Mussina... and, I only paid $10 per ticket... and, we had primo seats... i also saw my first and last curling competition... It was so exciting... I ate at a Bennihana's restaurant downtown... I could do a return visit... if the stars were aligned properly... and... the right person was available... just sayin'... "We hit the 401 past Montreal When I get to Toronto, I swear that I might have myself a ball ..." Matt Minglewood - "East Coast Blues" The wheels on this old bus keep right on turning On the highway across New Brunswick now they're burning And if we don't break down this time We'll hit the border at just about nine Cross the state of Maine to the border again we go We've got a rockin' blues band trying the best that we can to please you Heading off to the big city trying to find somebody who needs us And if the man will just say you on These poor boys are gonna be just about gone Never gonna have the East Coast Blues again Rambling, gambling, searching Trying to find the right chord blues We hit the 401 past Montreal When I get to Toronto, I swear that I might have myself a ball But this old engine been holdin' on Just about a thousand miles too long How can we roll if the wheels won't go no more A rented truck might change our luck, so we got one Six in the front seat, driving down Younge Street laughing But when the man came to hear our songs He said "I'm sorry boys but you're comin' on way to strong We can't get it on the radio" Rambling, gambling, searching Trying to find the right chord blues We're a rockin' blues band trying the best we can to please you We're heading off to the big city trying to find a man to see us But when the man came to hear our songs He said, "I'm sorry boys you're comin' on way to strong" He said: "We can't get it on the radio" To leave private messages, please use my confidential mailbox at my blog: Good luck!!!

I was 13 when I spent a few days in Toronto as part of a high school marching band, on our way to Expo 67 in Montreal. I remember Nathan Phillips Square and City Hall as being so "modern, seeing all the hippies in Yorkville, and the highlight was a tour of a naval destroyer in Toronto Harbour.
