Great blog my friend and who says women can't invent things we sure the hell can. And god not the bashing crap again..  Seduce the mind and see what a wonderful adventure the body will take you on..

To me you have describe what a crew does,,,someone has an idea to improve the way something is done or to do something totally new. Race, women or men we all have a brain. Mari Curie gave her life to the study of radioactivity. Mme. Curie developed methods for the separation of radium from radioactive residues in sufficient quantities to allow for its characterization and the careful study of its properties. Mari Curie the inventor of the X-ray! Mari Curie also studied how to treat cancer. I read about Mari Curie when I was a child in Readers Digest.

Vesta Stoudt came up with the idea for our popular fix ever thing item Duct Tape. Her cloth duct tape was used during WW2 to seal ammunition boxes.

Hard to believe that Frank Zappa wrote classical music in his teen years! I enjoy "Dina Mo Hum" and "Zombi Wolf" just to mention a few songs of his ,,I have his albums on 33 1/3 and disc.  "Where's this gal coming from" bet ya 40 dollars,,got any cooties in there! ha ha he is a blast

Ya know what is mind blowing about Vesta's duct tape...she had to send a letter about her idea to the President of the United States, Wilson sent the idea to the war department, who in turn sent a letter to the 3 m company so that her idea was used to create Duct Tape! Vesta had submitted the idea to her immediate supervisors and they dismissed her idea! Had I been in charge of 3 m then some supervisors might have been suddenly unemployed. LOL

Hi Joy... thanks for posting... I always remind my children... that one of my fastest swimmers made them... end of story... so yes... I invented three beautiful children... I don't think it was that difficult... I mean... I did put my back into it... but, didn't toil for more than 3 or 4 minutes... I wasn't stressed at all... easy peasy... just sayin'... Anyone who bashes anyone else because of sex . race , religion or life style is an idiot . Of course I live in the land of idiots here in the south . I myself value intelligence in a woman and would rate that higher than big boobs any day . I guess it's just the cowboy in me

Joy, that was an interesting post, I learnt something new there about some of the inventors, I think it is a pity that more women don't see engineering/design as a career opportunity. I remember my mother cursing men, over things that they design for women to use around the home, to which I replied, can you do better, her reaction was to gesticulate that she was going to slap my face! x
