A few times I've met sight unseen and after only a few minutes of chatting online. The meeting place was always at one restaurant or another within walking distance of my residence and only if I was going out to dinner (or lunch) anyway. If he wanted to scramble to meet me when I was planning to eat, that was fine by me and his problem. Nothing ever happened during these times (good or bad) but it was usually a slightly amusing way to spend my eating time.

Hi Joy never can be to careful today Joy but hope for the best for you! I have meet 3 people on this site and I did see their face before we got together. They were all they said they were too I was glad for that. Their pictures were what they were in real life too. I am about to meet another lady maybe sometime soon not sure yet. I have to commend you for this blog my friend well said and so true one never knows who is behind the other side of that keyboard. Tall men HELL to the YES..they always seems to fit in the right places too.. And your always smart about meeting in public places especially for the first time I can't tell you how many horror stories I have heard. Its always best to be safe, and for gods sake get pics or hell even better yet go on cam and that way you know who your meeting..  Seduce the mind and see what a wonderful adventure the body will take you on..

Joy, you lay things out perfectly when pursuing someone on Senior Sizzle! I have met a few Singles and Couples on here and most have been fairly accurate on their descriptions and the photos close to their current state, haha! I will say that NONE have showed up weighing LESS that they had said...HAHAHAHA!!!! I do ask for a face pic since I am a public figure in this town and couldn't afford to meet someone I know or who knows me. That is primarily because I am Bisexual. I have had to tell a couple of potential dates that I could not meet them because I knew them. I have never let them know when I did see them it was me and they were none the wiser. My Profile is such that I have yet to be "outed" based on the information I've provided but it is accurate...

I've never met anyone from this site, although for the first year or so I did say in my profile that I wasn't looking to meet.... My opinions have changed in that aspect now but I wouldn't want to meet someone without seeing at least one face photo beforehand. In this day and age it can't be too difficult to share a photo, and if they were determined not to let you see them beforehand, I would be suspicious. Plus if you haven't seen their face, meeting up can be awkward - I had to meet a woman in a bar this weekend (No..... it was to book my band for a gig), and I didn't know what she looked like, so I texted her as I was I standing at the bar - it turned out she was sat about three feet away from me! Lastly I think if I met a woman unseen, for the first few minutes of our meeting I would be looking at her... face, and probably comparing her to how I imagined her, not listening to what she had to say - which in my book would be impolite. I've always have seen a pic of the person I'm meeting. Only one that looked different had her hair a different color than I was expecting. No pic is like a blind date. Is nice to know what they look like when you're looking for them at the meeting place.

I went to a few blind dates in the past. Out of all meets, about a third were "what it said on the tin" in ref to looks and age. The other 2/3ds were just as you said, either heavier or older, sometimes both! The blind date thingy, though, is exiting!

This post reminds me of your sister's impending meet. How'd that go if it happened yet?  Never met anyone without at least a pic. Some women have had 20 yr old pics posted on their profile then when I met in person, it wasn't so much their appearance that disappointed me but the fact they tried to pull a fast one.  Standards are people too.....kinda
