Bummer. My last meet up was canceled because my mother-in-law needed to borrow my car on an evening I was "just gonna hang out at home". What was I to do, say, "no, I have a date." Prof10001 Swing by my blog!

Hi Joy... Yes, things happen to all of us at some time or another... even, out of control. I've had a person that I met here on the site cancel with short notice... I gave her another chance... It wasn't the end of the world and we only lived a few miles away. I don't think I ever cancelled on her... but, it could have happened... now, if it continued to happen with short notice... perhaps, I would have to explore the reasons behind the differences in the valuation of that most precious gift that we have... time... It does amaze me that people find out way too late, that time is the only thing you cannot recover... you can recover lost flames, lost money, lost whatever... but, not time... and, when I invest in someone, I want 100% attention, and hope to give the same... so, if it is only a few hours.... make the most of it... It's like I tell my kids... just because parents are around, doesn't mean that they are making time count... so, with me... I make it count... it could be the last time... just sayin'... I see you still have that problem with your "?"! If you hit the "capital and control" key on the left side of your computer at the same time.......then hit the "?" key........then repeat hitting the "capital and control" key....the "?" should appear! It happens to me all the time!

We'll, that really sucks. I don't recall ever being stood up, but have had many email exchanges suddenly just go silent with no explanation at all. Thoughts from the Garden...

Too bad you were stood up at short notice. I personally think there's a timespan within which it's unacceptable to cancel and to say to the sudden complication: 'sorry I have a meeting I can't cancel, take a cab'. Yes, I've been stood up and kept hanging around for hours not knowing whether my date would show up. My worst experience was with a woman who was married! That taught me a lesson. I know the feeling too well. I been suffering a lot of disappointment myself lately. I patiently waiting for the woman I want to be with to the time and enough desire not to leave me waiting.

PS, I omitted to respond to your comment about spending the night together. I'm with you on that – daytime liaisons are one thing but waking up with a lover is a different level of commitment and intimacy that I don't get into quickly. Read my blog here guy4frot
