Is it Really Safe to be Vulnerable with You ? I've been talking to you ... but ... You're not listening ... or is it ... You're not hearing ... or is it ... You're not really caring Something about you makes me feel safe to be vulnerable ... You told me I was safe ... to be vulnerable with you The way you look at me is special The way you touch me is special The way we whisper to each other is special Our connection and chemistry is rare It is powerful and undeniable It's tangibility is in the air around us My desire to please you is high My desire to return your lust is high You just bring out so many desires in me ... for you Nothing is off limits to you I will be as naughty or as Nasty as you want me to be But I only want to experience and explore this with you I call you Daddy because we both know who's truly in charge You say you appreciate me You thank me for my patience You say you want me You say you 'like this' when we sleep and cuddle close You ask if 'I feel this' connection You ask if 'I feel this' chemistry Of course 'I feel' it ... how could I not Together we are powerful We've done this many times We get sooo close and then Comes the silence The silence hurts the worst I feel disrespected I feel discarded I want you to fight to keep US Maybe it's me you've been talking to ... but ... I WILL NEVER NOT REALLY CARE" Sometimes, trying to understand human emotion gets us to this point, and it's good to be OK with silence too. Nothing is ever exactly what it seems and we never really know another, or ourselves. And that's precisely what makes it all possible for us to feel as new, fall in love a little more or differently each day for instance. Without the void, uncertainty and anguish, there could be no fulfillment, satisfaction, happiness, each time we take a step to get closer .

I think the biggest risk I took in my second marriage was when I told her she was vulnerable. Green eyes flashed and the red hair came to the forefront, but I held my ground and let the storm beat itself out on me and later that night cuddling, she told me "Dammit I am vulnerable. And someone seeing it scares me, but I'm glad it's you, because I'm safe being vulnerable with you." It's something a lot of women don't want to admit though if they have been through bad relationships and something a lot of men have even more trouble confessing to. Loved the poem. I didn't set out to write a poem ... that's how it sat in my head so that's how it ended up on the page. You're a smart & articulate man from your comments. It wouldn't have considered it 'poetry' ... I write when I have things to work out in my head. A professional writer is not my forte, far from it actually but thank you for the compliment. I believe everyone's best work comes from the point of passion. Passionate for the idea, passionate for the project or passionate for the movement. Or at least it is my driving point, everything I do comes from what or whom I'm passionate about. so I completely understand Everyone is on a different plane of intelligence.
