Be My Tour Guide A Poem

There is a world I don't know
It is a world only you can show.
So if you care to be my guide
Show your world view
As I follow along for the ride.

You can take to the city
Where you grew up.
Show all the sights
And sounds
Of your youth.
Show the progress
Or decay in your
Old neighborhood.
Wax nostalgic if that
Is your mood.

You can take to
The museums of your choice.
We can go walk
In your favorite park.
I might make a suggestion
Or two of where
I would like to go.
To see if you had
A similar interest.

You are my guide.
Your world on display.
It would be about leisure
And not a stressful pace.
I want you to be easy going
Not all pressed for time
But if that is the case.
I will understand.

I would see the world
Through your eyes.
It would be so much better
Than some stranger
Of a tour guide.
It would be building
A memory
For us to treasure.
And if along the way
We stopped for hugs
Or something more
I would be quite receptive.
