Good Advice A Poem

It is hard to admit
That one is weak.
It is hard to admit
Help is what
One seeks.
But when it is
Out in the open.
One can breath
A sigh of relief.
Phew! I did not
After all have
To hold it all in.

But the audience
Might be key.
It has to be one
That is friendly
One that is not there
To ridicule or heckle.
But one that might
Be said to be
Receptive of
Your message.

Be careful of false friends
Who want to
Use your weakness
They tuck it away
For future situations
In which they can
Get an advantage.

If your friends
Who are your audience
Can offer you good advice
Who can proffer comfort
And understanding.
You are wise to take it.
And offer thanks.

If you can discern
Their actions are authentic
And not insincere.
That their commiseration
Is genuine
And that their advice
Well founded
Go and run with it.

 I have had some good advice given to me of late. I am so thankful for my friends. They have basically saved me from myself. LOL

 nice poem and friends have a perspective that you cannot see in yourself sometimes. We see ourselves with foggy glasses.

 I've always been a good listener,
Taking advice from good friends.
We need help from madam or sir.
They often help us make amends.
