Bunny And Other Names A Poem

I am wondering
Have I had some pet names
From lovers in the past
Darn memory
It has some gaps.

A new friend
Has started to
bunny.
I do like that.
As bunnies are cute
And soft and fluffy.

I have been called honey.
Sweetie, darling
Beautiful and my lady.
Just my given name
And it's shortened version.
I like them all
Especially accompanied
By love and affection.

I think if I were called lover
That might make me quiver.
How it really hits some
Inner part of me.
How precise it is.
Like an on/off switch.

But Bunny is the word
That I want to
How I appreciate being
Compared and called it
By someone who thinks
I have bunny like qualities.

"... bunny like qualities..."
Ya mean... you produce poems, at the rate of two bunnies, fucking in a small enclosure, like my grandparents had... back in the day? 🤔

My brother and I were tiny and we didn't understand that whole sex thing.
Every few weeks we'd see new babies in that little fenced in world of theirs, (the bunny world).
We thought a neighbour had brought my grandparents gifts of baby bunnies. 😊
Come to think of it... it was kinda strange to see that big fat male bunny, always sitting on top of the female bunny. She never seemed to mind...
🐰🐇😜😁❤️😎😘
Yep..... We had rabbit 🐰 stew quite often at Grannie's place. She would tell us that it was chicken 🐔... What did we know? 😔

.. So... I shouldn't share, the CHICKEN 🐔 story with you ? 🤔 OK .... I will... I know... you want to hear it. 😉
So...
My granny brought home, this live chicken 🐔, from the market here in Montreal - back in the day, when we had 'live markets'.
She put that chicken 🐔... under a clothes hamper (you know the type?) , and told my brother and I, that there was a chicken, in the basement.
Well...
... can you imagine, our excitement, when we ran down those stairs, and actually saw, a live chicken.. in the basement?
My grandfather (who had come home from work, by then), asked us, if we wanted to pet that chicken. What do you think we said? ; "Of course!"
Twenty minutes later
... my grandfather, was still chasing, that fucking chicken, around the basement. My brother and I were laughing so hard, we could hardly supervise the chase. We DID, observe, his growing anger and lack of patience, with that frisky, feathered flutterer. He (Grandpa), didn't seem to be amused.
A few days later.... my grannie served stewed rabbit 🐰. The rabbits, had long since disappeared from my grandparent's back yard. I asked them... about THAT chicken 🐔; the one, my brother and I had petted?

I'll never forget my Grandma's reply ;"The chicken 🐔, escaped!"

We were SO grateful and relieved. With my little mind, I didn't think of asking, where, it might have run to. They did live, on a six lane boulevard.

That rabbit, tasted great.... and surprisingly... a lot, like chicken. 😊
Many.... many... years later... I put the pieces of that puzzle, together.
My granny had been hiding a rabbit, in the closet.
To this day, I have no idea where.... that silly chicken went to. 🐔🤔
Dja think it's still roaming Montreal... somewhere? hmmmm... 🤔

Cool story Bro. I am not sure how I feel about the rabbit stew still. Good for the chicken. I guess. LOL
