The Day Lasted Longer. A Poem

The day lasted longer
Than I thought it would
In other words
I stayed up later
Than I should.
This is nothing new
Mind you
It is par for the course
When I get distracted
And involved
With something.
You know how it is?
It's a consequence.
Let's hope it
Doesn't ruin tomorrow
If I am feeling too tired.
As I have lots to do.
Lots on the menu.
