Carpe Diem And Summer Carpe Diem And Summer written in 2015 Summer is coming So many pleasant breezes wafting So many lovely sunrises So many lovely sunsets. I want to experience them With a lightheartedness Not like recent years past When I was less than cognizant I offered summer barely An acknowledgement. Yes,a whole season of warmth I would spend indoors, I did have things to do. I was a caretaker for my Mom. And I had chores. I am to blame as well I did not care to expose Myself to others Never mind the sun. I was so self conscious I was almost desperate To remain unobserved. The<b> lesson </font></b>I have learned Is that I only have one life The days are finite. Those summer days Are mine in all their glory If I just embrace them Carpe diem At it's finest.
