Finding An Extraordinary Lover A Poem

Finding an extraordinary lover
One who does it all
Whose smile
Makes my heart flutter
Whose voice
Sends shivers
Down my spine
And my hairs stand on end.
Yes, where do I find him?

Would that I could
Make a report
For such a missing person.
Where would I place
That notice?
What newspaper?
Or is there a site
That is electronic
Whose reach is broader?

Silly to seek
The extraordinary.
Why can't I settle
For someone normal
Who gives me just enough
Because I will tell you
That is too little
To keep my interest.

He has to be a world above!
Be the man of my dreams
Or engender them!
Make me believe that
Dreams come true
Just by being with him.
It won't take moving mountains
Just giving me thrills
With his actions
His smiles.
His voice
His choice
To be with me
And put me first.
Yes, that last statement
Might be of the greatest importance.
A man who gives me
And sees to my needs
Like they are his fondest goals
To achieve.
Ah yes! that would make
Such a lover extraordinary!
